Like content pages, the menu structure is subject to approval – this option is only
visible to users with approval permissions.
Once the content has been successfully edited, the user can choose to publish to
a draft site (for review) or to the public site (this option is only available to
approvers).
The Outcome The solution provided the customer
with:
- Full content management provided by Microsoft SharePoint.
- Significant savings by avoiding SharePoint licensing costs for Internet facing sites.
- Full flexibility in developing the web site using their tool of choice: Microsoft
Visual Studio 2008.
The solution is developed in such a way that it can easily be applied to the management
of other sites while still allowing flexible design and creativity in web site development.
